about
I often take the train from Whitehead to Botanic for Great Victoria Street Station, Belfast and return on the Larne train. The announcement says 'This train is for Larne Town.'
It inspired me to write about the train line from Belfast to Larne, commonly known as the 'Larne Line.' I've included every possible stop on the line.

This train, is for, Larne Town. by Samuel (Uel) Irwin 19.09.19 ©
This train, is for, Larne town, this train, is for, Larne town,
This train is for the station, for the harbour and the nations,
This Train, is for, Larne town.
You can get on Great Victoria, City Hospital’s on the way,
Past Botanic and the Empire, Lanyon Place is all a-sway.
Travelling past Titanic Quarter, Stop at Yorkgate, Belfast Zoo.
Then its on to Whiteabbey and the scenic line view,
‘Alight for Ulster University,’ Jordanstown too.
This train, is for, Larne town, this train, is for, Larne town,
This train is for the station, for the harbour, and the nations,
This Train, is for, Larne town.
Going onward to Greenisland, past the monument on the hill,
Trooperlane, Clipperstown, stopping; Carrickfergus still.
Departing Downshire station and to Whitehead by the sea,
Then its on to Ballycarry, and the churches of Free.
Magheramore is next on line and The Glynn is looking fine.
This train, is for, Larne town, this train, is for, Larne town,
This train is for the station, for the harbour, and the nations,
This Train, is for, Larne town,
Yeah!
This train, is at, Larne town, this train, is at, Larne town,
This train is at the station, been to the harbour, with the nations,
This train, is Belfast bound, The next train is Belfast bound – Happy Days.
